“The GBT” is an idGuides Regenerative Trails project underway since 2021 in partnership with local communities across Bali, expanding each year as new villages join the GBT trail network.

4 years in the making, Indonesia`s expedition & trail specialists @idguides have been quietly collaborating with local communities in villages across Bali to put in place key foundations for Indonesia`s first long-distance trail - in Bali.
The Great Bali Trail will connect 30 Bali villages from west to east, spanning 350km and 30 stages.
Local community trail teams are being trained to provide the professional trail guiding support & service provision hikers and long-distance trekkers need.
Your GBT Trail Pass will pay for local communities along the Great Bali Trail to maintain the trail, and contribute to environmental, social and village development projects on the stages you visit.
